Doctors

Dr Ruth Brown

General Practitioner

MBChB(Otago) FRNZCGP

Ruth has been in Raumati for many years. She teaches GP registrars and medical students. She is on the Clinical Quality Board helping to improve general practice services in the Capital and Coast District Health Board region. She enjoys biking and reading when she has a chance.

Dr Robyn Crow

General Practitioner

MBChB(Otago) DipObst FRNZCGP

Robyn has been in General Practice for over 20 years and has been at Raumati Road Surgery for 14 years. She teaches medical students and GP registrars and is an examiner for PRIMEX. Robyn does Fellowship assessments for the College of General Practitioners for GP’s in the final stages of training. She works in Raumati Road Surgery every day apart from Wednesday.

Dr Kirsty Lennon

General Practitioner

MBChB (Glasgow University 1993) FRNZCGP DFFP

Kirsty joined the practice in 2010 after she immigrated to New Zealand from Scotland. Originally from Nottingham, England, Kirsty studied in Glasgow and graduated in 1993. Kirsty worked as a GP in Dumbarton and had a practice there until she moved to New Zealand with her husband and 2 children.

Dr Amanda Clark

Amanda joined Raumati Road Surgery in July 2013. She has been a GP since 1994. She has lived on the Kapiti Coast with her husband and three children since 1999.

Dr Kate Fairbrother

General Practitioner

MBChB (Otago), MRNZGP, BHSc (physio)

Kate joined the practice in 2016. After training and working as a physiotherapist she completed her training in medicine at Dunedin University graduating in 2006. She has worked in pediatric and psychiatry subspecialty areas and now enjoys the variety of practice within the GP setting. She lives on the Kapiti Coast and when not working enjoys time with her family.

Practice Nurses

Pru Woodard

Nurse

Pru registered as a comprehensive nurse from Wellington Polytechnic in the mid 1970’s. After training as a midwife and serving as a nurse in the New Zealand army, she began practice nursing in the early 1990’s. Pru has three grown up sons.

Carmel Sherrington

Nurse

Carmel joined the practice in 2011. Originally from County Tyrone in Ireland she trained as a nurse in the 1990’s at Leeds General Infirmary, Yorkshire, in the UK. She continued her studies and qualified as a podiatrist in 1995. She moved from the Isle of Wight to New Zealand 10 years ago with her husband, Peter, and her 3 children.

Carmel Rodrigo

Nurse

Carmel initially trained as an enrolled nurse at Wellington Hospital before graduating from Wellington Polytechnic as a registered nurse in 1993. Carmel and her family have lived on the Coast for 20 years and Carmel has worked at Raumati Road Surgery for the last 4 years.
